Missile Warning Centre
The Missile Warning Centre is located at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex which is the command, control, communication and intelligence centre for coordinating and controlling North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) missions.
There are two centres, which conduct missile, atmospheric, and space warning activities. These are , the Air Operations Centre which conducts surveillance of North American airspace to prevent overflight by hostile aircraft and the Missile Warning Centre (MWC) which detects launches globally and determines whether they are a threat to North America.
